Kondwani Mubisa

  • Holder of a BSc in Natural Resources Management from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources
  • Certificate in Program Design and Impact Evaluation from Trinity College Dublin

Kondwani has over five years of experience coordinating high quality and impactful programs in Malawi. His work cut across the sectors of environment, agriculture, climate change, energy, water, gender, youth and natural resource governance. Working in the NGO sector, Kondwani has led or provided programmatic support for projects financed by such institutions like the European Union, New Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD), Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), CARE Germany, Irish Aid, Oxfam America, Trocaire, Christian Aid, World Vision International and Southern Voices on Adaptation (SVA). Kondwani’s wide-ranging exposure to multi-sectoral NGOs work allows him to design and deliver context-specific interventions that provide wholesale solutions on the economic, environmental, social and political fronts. 

At Conserve with Benefit organization, Kondwani is currently leading programmatic work for youth-focused projects in bee-keeping, mushroom production, afforestation, climate smart agriculture and agri-business. These projects are being implemented in Salima and Lilongwe Rural in partnership with Tauw and Youthure Foundations in Netherlands. 

Kondwani believes that issues of development and environment should be handled as two sides of same coin. He therefore motivated to support efforts that seek to strike a balance between environmental management and development.
